You’ll know if the motorcycle in question fits you properly if you sit on it with the kickstand down and your feet both can touch the ground.  If you cannot touch both feet on the ground, then the bike is too big for you and you should look at something smaller, or consider having it customized to fit you better.  Make sure you can reach other components comfortably like the handlebars and brakes.

Price is also one of the more important factors to consider when buying a motorcycle.  Make sure you set your budget and then look for bikes that fall within that budget.  This will keep you from spending too much for you to handle.  You may also consider purchasing a used version of the motorcycle you want if the new version is priced too high.  Also determine whether or not you will be willing to finance a new motorcycle and make monthly payments on it if that gets you the bike you really want

The beginning of the true American Hot Rod era the icon of the 50’s was and still is the cars and trucks built in 1957. Visit any classic car show and you are sure to find one of these classics customized and restored to better than new condition. Ridding in and driving one of these classics is like a dream.

You could buy a 57 Chevrolet in one of three official trim packages available in the day. The standard base trim package was the 150 model. In the next level trim package known as a mid range package with up-graded interior was just a bit nicer and less of the utility grade. The top of the line trim package was the well known Bel-air. There were a few special trim packages produced known as the Delray that came in some of the two door sedans. The short production run limited edition station wagon two door was called the Nomad with Bel-air trim. Collectors desire more so today than back in the 50s because of the fact that is only had two doors instead of four. One other limited model the EL Morocco known as the baby Cadillac was a hand built version that are very rare today.

The popularity of the 57 Chevy’s had a lot to do with Chevrolet’s new V8 introduced in 1955. It was touted as having 1 horse power per cubic inch for the 283. This gave a big boost to the start of American motorsports history. The Chevy’s of the day entering the start of the true muscle car history were always first at the drag strips and number one in circle racing. The small block 283 V8 was and still is today a power package the just could not be beat.

It is kind of funny that Chevrolet was dreaming of some brand new car design for 1957. But what we ended up with was the same thing as the 1955 version but with a few simple changes produced the true classic icon we all know and still love today. The changes were simple with the addition of the famous tailfins and some reshaping of the windshield. The air ducts were also moved to the headlight pods and the look was very distinctive. The look even back in 57 was classic indeed and loved the world over.

The 57 design got the wider front grille and they opted for fourteen inch wheels over the larger fifteen inch wheels to give the new model a wider look and lower stance. The 1957 Bel-air could be purchased with and anodized gold trim for the script and grille which produced a very ritzy look.

Before any success can be measured, Chrysler dealers will need to submit an application to Chrysler Group and follow other guidelines including making space for the car not within the confines of their current showroom, but in a new facility fully dedicated to the Fiat 500. The Fiat 500 is a subcompact vehicle and possibly Chrysler’s answer to Honda’s Fit and Ford’s upcoming Fiesta.

Dealer Requirements

“The Fiat dealer network will be appropriately sized to serve the market opportunity,” said Peter Grady, Vice President of Network Development and Fleet, Chrysler Group LLC, in a press release issued by Chrysler. “Our vision is to establish a dealer network that will reflect and enhance the brand’s reputation for innovation and fun, and will offer a unique, personalized customer experience.”

Chrysler Michigan dealers will have competition if they want to sell the Fiat, and they will have to meet Chrysler’s criteria for the selection process. Chrysler said it will send out dealer applications to the dealerships that are located within identified markets targeted for Fiat sales. Dealerships will then have to submit a proposal to Chrysler indicating how they would sell, service, and market Fiat.

Chrysler Michigan dealers and dealers nationwide will also be selected based on performance factors such as volume, minimum sales responsibility accomplishment, and Dealer Standards score. The proposed facility the dealer plans to assign to the Fiat brand will also be evaluated.

In addition to a unique facility required to house the Fiat vehicles, dealers will also have to adhere to Fiat standards, adopt a Fiat team wholly separate from their current Chrysler staff, and the dealers will have to prove they have the financial backing to accomplish the installation of the Fiat brand into their dealership as well as the continued support to ensure its success.

Dealers will be selected in approximately 125 markets in 41 states. U.S. Fiat locations will be announced in September.

Fiat 500

The reintroduction of Fiat into the U.S. fulfills part of the agreement between Fiat and Chrysler from 2009, in which Fiat gained an initial 20 percent stake in Chrysler in order to gain access to Chrysler’s dealer network, among other reasons. The investment would also convert some Chrysler plants into manufacturing sites for Fiat models to be sold within the U.S. In exchange, Chrysler would gain Fiat’s global network for distributing Chrysler vehicles, more fuel-efficient engine technology, and additional financial rescue coming out of bankruptcy.

Fiat made an exit from the U.S. more than two decades ago as mechanical problems became prevalent and turned the Italian automaker’s name into an acronym for “Fix It Again, Tony.” The reintroduction seems timely as Gen-Y buyers are set to outpace baby boomers in buying power and would not have fresh memories of Fiat’s previous issues.

Accepted dealers will sell the Fiat 500 late this year and will receive the Fiat 500 Cabrio in 2011. The original Fiat 500 has roots in the 1950s, and the current model is sold in more than 80 countries. Chrysler and Fiat have not officially released specifications for the U.S. version, but have released information about Fiat’s 1.4-liter, in-line 4-cylinder engine. The Fully Integrated Robitized Engine (FIRE) features Multiair technology and will deliver 100 horsepower at 6,750 rpm and 95 lb-ft of torque at 4,250 rpm. A turbo edition is said to also be available.

All of these factors will make up your credit report and influence your score. Your credit score will fall between 300 and 850, with 300 being a bad credit score and 850 being an excellent score. This number is what a lender will look at when judging your creditworthiness and whether they should lend you money for a vehicle or other purchase.

While you can get your credit report for free, you will need to pay to see your credit score more than once. You can ask each of the three credit bureaus for your credit score once a year. If you need to see your report more than three times in a year, however, you will have to pay for it. You can find your credit score through websites such as LendingTree. Membership on such sites can get you access to your credit score. These websites will also sometimes include a free trial membership that allows you to view your credit score for free for a set period of time.

Once you’ve got your report and score, it’s time to check them. Mistakes can happen, but you will need to be vigilant to catch them. Well before applying for a loan or buying your new car, you should check your report and score to ensure they are accurate. Similar names or Social Security numbers may occasionally cause mistakes on credit scores. Such a mistake could hurt you in the end if it is not caught before you apply for a loan however.

Luckily, correcting mistakes is simple. All it takes is a letter to the credit bureau pointing out what information is inaccurate and why. The bureau will have to investigate your claim and should be able to clear up the mistake within 30 days. Make sure you get written confirmation from the bureau that the mistake has been fixed.

Car buying credit scores, etc., can seem like an overwhelming and complicated aspect of car buying process, but if you take the time to gather the information you need, even this step can be simple and painless.
